Objective?To investigate the guidewire and stent measurement in selecting the appropriate stent in ERCP.?Methods?From January 2013 to September 2015, we collected clinical data of 55 patients who were diagnosed malignant biliary obstruction, bile duct stones, biliary pancreatitis and pancreatic duct stones. Then compare the measure values, actual values, error values, replacement rates and measuring time.?Results?The stent replacement rates were no significant difference (P > 0.05), but the replacement rate of guidewire stent group was higher than that in stent measurement group (14.81 % vs 3.57 %). The measure values and actual values were no significant differences (P > 0.05). The error values and measuring time between the two groups had a significant difference (P < 0.05).?Conclusion?Compared the two methods, stent measurement was more convenient and accurate, faster and lower replacement rate.
