Abstract:Abstract: Objective To evaluate the indwelling time of Double J stent after ureteroscopy and/or endoscopic lithotripsy in middle-lower ureteral calculus, and try to improve extubation in noninvasive, rapid, simple and economic way during short-term retention of Double J stent. Methods 71 patients were selected from Jun 2015 to Apr 2017 and divided into two groups. In experimental group, 35 cases in total with ureteroscopy and/or endoscopic lithotripsy in middle-lower ureteral calculus, use “MERSILK” silk suture tied the distal Double J stent and fixed the other end on vulva while placing stent; In the control group, 36 cases with all segment of ureteral calculus were routinely placed with Double J stent after operation. Results In experimental group, the Double J stent of 33 patients were removed at day 5 after operation, and 2 cases failed. The control group was fulfilled extubation in 3~4 weeks after operation in routine. There was no significant difference in painful score by numerical rating scale (NRS), hematuria duration, and urinary tract irritation between the two groups. Conclusion The optical time of indwelling Double J stent is 5 days in ureteroscopy and/or endoscopic lithotripsy among middle-lower ureteral calculus. The suture tying distal end Double J stent does not increase the patient’s discomfort during the catheterization, and extubation of dragging suture is safe, simple, rapid and no financial burden.
